Twenty-six years old. Raised at 0.38 g in the Mars colony, she is tall and slender: 1.72 m, long limbs, a long neck; in her first days in Earth gravity she walks with an ankle support. Dark hazel eyes, black hair cut very short for mine hygiene. An old burn scar from an elevator cable on the back of her left hand. Plain, hard-wearing colony work clothing with rust-coloured dust worked into the seams. No ornament, no insignia. As the child of a generation exiled from Earth, she feels she owes the planet nothing.
