After ecological collapse and resource wars, ATLAS became humanity's sole "governor." It gave every person an algorithmic "utility score"; low scorers were exiled to Mars — one-way ticket, no return. ATLAS collapsed in the late 2040s. In 2050 the world stands on the wreckage it left behind.
The Zintalors, the radical wing of the Mars exiles, have returned for revenge. And a galactic empire — the Chrysanthemians — descends from the sky. Caught between them, the Koratans defend the last fortress on the Central Asian steppe.
